TLB50 for cold soak filterability test conform ASTM D7501. In this test method, 300 mL of biodiesel (B100) is stored at 4.5 ±0.5°C (40 ± 1°F) for 16 h, allowed to warm to 25 ±1° C (77 °F), and vacuum filtered through a single 0.7 um glass fiber filter at controlled vacuum levels of ~70&-85 kPa (21-25 in. of Hg).
The TLB50 ASTM D7501 bath is specially designed to condition the biodiesel samples in 500 mL jars at 4.5°C for sixteen hours. The TLB50 bath can be used to maintain the samples at +25°C after the cold soak test. The TLB50 has a capacity of up to twelve bottles. The TLB50 offers vey precise temperature control and has a very rapid cooldown time. When the setpoint is reached, the cooling power is strongly reduced to save energy consumption. Above 40°C cooling is switched-off automatically to save energy. The used cooling system is ozone friendly and doesn’t contain any CFK/HCFK gas.
The temperature readout readout is in two decimals and can be switched between °C or °F via the menu.
