Description

The TV2000 ASTM D2170 bath is used for the determination of kinematic viscosity of liquid asphalts (bitumens), road oils and distillation residues of liquid asphalts (bitumens) all at 60°C (140°F) and of asphalt cements at 135°C (275°F). The Tamson TV2000 can be used for viscosity determinations at these temperatures. The bath offers three positions for Cannon Fenske Opaque, Zeitfuchs Cross Arm or BS/IP/RF viscometers. The TV2000 is completely conform ASTM D2170 and EN/ISO 12595.

The TV2000 is able to achieve a temperature stability of 0.01°C. All wetted parts are made of stainless steel and brass, providing resistance against all usual bath fluids. The bath is fitted with adjustable feet for leveling. The bath is equipped with two windows.

The TV2000 is maintenance free and designed to run with minimal operational costs. The TV2000 can be operated from ambient +5 up to +230°C (..446°F). With the use of the built-in cooling coil, sub ambient temperatures down to +5°C can be achieved. The bath is equipped with both a drain and an overflow outlet. Also the viscosity bath is equipped with a float that will switch off the bath when the level of the bath fluid is too low. The bath conforms to CE-regulation. Further the bath is equipped with a mechanical over temperature protection. Optionally, the bath can be equipped with a Z41 backpanel illuminator to improve visibility.
